How to Organize Barbie Toys

It’s the summer of Barbie! Also, if you’re like me, you’re entering the season of parenting where your 5 year old daughter has wanted every type of Barbie she sees in Target. Once I started finding little Barbie shoes in random places, I knew we needed to come up with better organization. Here are a variety of ideas for many different Barbie needs.
*Disclaimer* I made these systems very simple because I don’t know many young kids who will organize tiny toys by specific type (i.e. shoes, hair accessories, pets, etc.). My goal is to have systems in place that are easy to clean and somewhat easy to categorize.
Acrylic Drawers
These are great for small stuff, and I love using acrylic so your child can see what’s inside. It takes some of the guesswork out for kids who can’t read yet or would not take the time to read and follow labels. I have these 2 organized by things she can wear & things she plays with, but you can do what works for you!
My favorite acrylic drawers are linked here.
Drawer organizers in dresser/nightstand
If you’re short on floor space or shelf space, I like to use drawer organizer inside drawers to make it easy to find what they’re looking for.

Large Cloth Bins
Bonus if they’re Barbie pink bins! These are great for holding all the barbie dolls as they’re big enough and are open so your little one can grab and go! I have found that when organizing kids’ toys, it is better to go bigger for 2 reasons… 1. They are less likely to overflow as kids literally throw their toys in. 2. You can add more and more toys as they get new ones without having to find more storage solutions.

Organizing is a lot like playing with Barbies… use your imagination and have fun!
