Did you know that if you go to amazon and type “books about organizing your home”, you get over 2,000 results? It’s madness to try and look through all of those and find one that speaks to you! And that’s why I’m here. I’ve read many many books about organizing and being minimalist, and I’m here to guide you through which ones to choose based on what you’re looking for. Think of it as a “Choose Your Own Adventure” in book selection.

For the organizing newbie who is not sure where to begin:

For me, this book is the OG. I bought this book in 2015 and it started my organizing obsession. I talked about it constantly, and passed this book around to several of my coworkers and friends and family. Then, when Marie Kondo started her show on Netflix, I devoured all the episodes in one binge watch. It’s a great book to start with and gives you a disciplined look at how to organize by category.

In The Minimalist Home, he offers a room-by-room guide to editing out the unnecessary and facing the mental load that comes with it.
