The holiday season is upon us! Whether you are a person who puts their tree up before Thanksgiving or are against Christmas decor at the beginning of November, it’s time to start thinking about presents. You know I’m a minimalist which means I don’t love giving gifts that are going to just end up as clutter in other people’s homes. So, I’ve compiled a list of Experiences, Subscriptions, Tickets, Memberships, and Consumables for everyone on your “Nice List” this year.

Experiences

  • Take them to the new indoor batting cages, horseback riding, or any adventure in your area.

  • Spa Day/Massage Gift Card- because we all could use a massage!

  • Yoga Class

  • Pottery Making

  • Cooking Class

  • Do they love to travel? Gift cards for airlines, hotels, or uber/lyft would be wonderful.

  • Gift them round of golf, pickle ball, or whatever hobby they enjoy on you.

Subscriptions

  • Have they been wanting to watch a certain show? Pay for their subscription for Netflix, Hulu, Max... I personally think if there is someone who has not watched Ted Lasso, The Morning Show, or Shrinking then they need an AppleTV subscription asap!

  • If they’ve always talked about wanting to learn a foreign language or they have a trip overseas coming up, a Rosetta Stone subscription would be perfect!

  • For the avid reader or BookTok addict, get a Kindle Unlimited subscription.

  • Magazine Subscriptions are the gift that keeps on giving for a year.

Tickets and Memberships

  • If they love art, science, crystals, then they would be so happy for a museum membership.

  • If their favorite artist is coming to town, gift them some concert tickets (or a gift certificate for merchandise so they can buy a t-shirt when they’re there)

  • If they love theater or dance, get them a ticket to a show or the ballet.

  • Tickets to the zoo/aquarium

  • Movie tickets

  • A trip to the trampoline park for kids

  • Do your kids love their school book fair? Get them a gift card for Barnes and Noble.

    • People are often concerned that gift cards are too impersonal, but if you get the right one it can show that you put thought into their interests. They can be just as sentimental as anything.

Consumables

  • Homemade bread, cookies, candy, treats

  • Ingredients for a beautiful smelling simmer pot

I hope this guide has been helpful to keep some stress out of your holiday season, and I hope you enjoy time with your loved ones!
